Ahead of the state elections, CM Eknath Shinde announced a new scheme ‘Mukhya-Mantri Teerth Darshan Yojana’, aimed to help senior citizens from all religions who are unable to perform pilgrims due to financial constraints, lack of companionship, or insufficient information about pilgrimage arrangements.
“The scheme would be for senior citizens and include pilgrimage sites across religions and the beneficiaries would be picked based on their financial background.
