In an attempt to kill the 78-year-old US former president
Donald Trump, a 20-year-old shooter, identified by the police as Thomas Matthew Crooks, fired multiple shots at him with AR-15 semi-automatic rifle. Trump was campaigning on July 13, in Butler at the time of the incident.
The bullet pierced Trump’s ear, and tragically killed an innocent bystander and critically wounded two others.
The swift Secret Service counter-sniper team killed the shooter by a direct headshot.
