Good news for Mumbaikars, in the wake of heavy rain Tulsi lake, one of the seven lakes that supplies drinking water for Mumbai, started overflowing on Saturday, the BMC declared.

The Tulsi lake has a storage capacity of 804.6 crore litres.
The onset of rain was a bit disappointing as it was below normal. However, the continuous heavy rain, especially this week resulted in the overflowing of the Tulsi lake.
It started overflowing from 8.30 am today.
Last year, Tulsi lake had started overflowing from 1.28 am on the same day i.e. July 20.
