BJP’s Maharashtra chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule today said he did not expect Sharad Pawar to make a statement, “Maharashtra might face violence similar to that in Manipur over the growing discontent between the Maratha and OBC communities.”
Bawankule said the people of Maharashtra do not support any form of violence or conflict and that Sharad Pawar is aware of this, but he still wants to engage in petty politics.
“Sharad Pawar is defaming Maharashtra and its people for politics. No one can think of violence in the state. Devendra Fadnavis is capable of controlling any situation. I urge Sharad Pawar to not stoop to this level,” said the state BJP chief.
