Passengers moving away from BEST

Passengers moving away from Mumbai’s iconic BEST buses, resulting in heavy loss of revenue.
As per the survey, the passengers are upset due to the long queues at bus stops, long waiting times, reductions in bus frequencies and route closures.
The BEST has, ostensibly, initiated the ‘Save BEST’ campaign to boost public support, but the BEST doesn’t appear to be serious in resolving the problem.
For example, the people of Mazgaon have been clamouring for the reinstatement of bus No. 48, which was operated between Nana Chawk and Ferry Wharf. It was catering to the needs of school, college, students, office goers etc. The bus service was closed during the lockdown and was never re-started. The public has been lodging complaints, for years, to all the concerned BEST authorities, to no avail. The locals are still without the service of 48 number route, facing immense hardship, everyday.
