Udhdhav insulted Balasaheb’s vision by opposing the bill and supporting the Waqf Board: Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske. He criticized Uddhav Thackeray for opposing the Bill and supporting the Waqf Board, on Friday, saying he is “indebted to Muslims for their overwhelming support”.
“We don’t expect him to support the bill. But why Udhdhav called the Ram Janmabhoomi temple land development a scam, Mhaske asked.
Balasaheb Thackeray had always demanded the dissolution of the Waqf Board and the reclamation of land involved in illegal encroachments,” he said.
Udhdhav said, “I am announcing that, be it the Waqf Board or any temple or other religious property, I will not let anyone touch those properties at any cost.”
The absence of Uddhav Thakre’s MPs from the parliament during the discussion on Waqf Board was widely criticized by the Muslims.
