A person was arrested in Calcutta for disclosing the identity on social media of the doctor who was raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
The Supreme Court of India has issued strict guidelines that the name or identity of a rape victim should not be revealed, even with the authorization of the victim’s next of kin.
