After a prolonged dry spell, the weather Department has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, Thane and Palghar.
Experts said the city may see significant rain activity till Sept 27, Friday.
“IMD in its forecast for Sept 24 specifically for Mumbai, Thane and Palghar stated that thunderstorm accompanied by lightning, heavy rainfall and gusty winds at isolated places are very likely”.
