Party leader Imtiyaz Jaleel said after discussing with party chief Asaduddin Owaisi he has taken this step.
“I have told Congress and NCP (SP) that if too many candidates are in the elections, then the BJP will benefit from it,” Jaleel said.
Out of the 288 seats, AIMIM has demanded 28 seats in Maharashtra, all these seats are Muslim dominated.
There’s no question that the Maha Vikas Aghadi would agree to allot 28 Muslim dominated seats to AIMIM. If these seats are granted to the AIMIM than where would the MVA adjust the Muslim candidates of their parties.
