Israel will “never be victorious” over Hezbollah and Hamad, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in his first Friday sermon in five years at Grand Mosque in Tehran. He urged all Muslim countries to unite.
It is the duty and responsibility of all Muslims to help the blooded people of Lebanon and to support Lebanon’s jihad and the battle for al-Aqsa mosque,” he declared.
“Every country has the right to defend itself from aggressors, Khamenei said.
This comes days after Tehran launched a missile barrage on Israel after the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah.
More than 1,900 people have been killed and over 9,000 wounded in Lebanon in almost a year of cross-border fighting, with most of the deaths occurring in the past two weeks.
