The bronze statue of the Maratha warrior king is 20 feet tall and weighs around 2,000 kilograms.
Before unveiling the statue Rahul said, the BJP made a state of
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj but it fell after a few days because their intention was wrong.
They did not allow the tribal President to attend the inauguration of Ram Mandir and Parliament, Rahul added.
“The Congress party today is fighting against the same ideology that Shivaji Maharaj fought against.
There is no use of bowing before Shivaji Maharaj after scaring people, destroying the Constitution and institutions in the country,” Gandhi said.
