Two of a family die, 7 injured after a four-storey house in Delhi Bholanath Nagar went up in flames today morning, due to a short circuit in an AC. The family blames delayed arrival of fire engines for the deaths. The fire brigade officials held the unruly car parking all along the narrow lanes, responsible for the delay in reaching the site.

“Charred bodies of 42-year-old Shilpi Gupta, and her 16-year-old son, Pranav Gupta were recovered from the house,” a police officer said.

Four members of Shilpi’s family – Kailash Gupta, 72, his wife Bhagwati Gupta, 70, their son Manish Gupta, 45, and Manish’s son Parth, 19 – are admitted to a hospital after burn injuries.
