3 aspirants of Congress ticket waited till the last moment, after getting disappointed, filed their nominations today as independent candidates from Byculla constituency. Those rebel candidates are, Madhu Chavhan, Junaid Patel and Shamim Ahmed. Out of the three, Madhu Chavhan is the senior most Congressman.
These independent candidates will be contesting against the 4 seasoned politicians, Yamini Jadhav (Shinde Sena) Manoj Jamsutkar (Udhdhav Sena) Saeed Khan (SP) and Fayaz Ahmed (AIMIM).
