After India defeated Pakistan in the Champions Trophy cricket match on Sunday, a 14 year-old boy in Sindhudurg in Maharashtra raised anti-India slogans.
A case was filed against the boy, his father K. Khan (38), Ayesha Khan (35), the parents have been sent to the police custody and the boy to the observation home.
Lawyers have refused to take up the case of the accused.
The Malvan Municipal Corporation demolished the scrap shop of the father on a complaint from Shiv Sena leader Nilesh Rane who said that “For now we have destroyed his scrap business” and vowed to “ensure he is eventually thrown out of the district”.
On Monday, a motorcycle rally was taken out by local residents against the family, demanding further action.
