At last, the water level in the seven lakes that supply water to Mumbai matches last year’s level at 29.7% on Sunday. As far as collection of water is concerned, this year the rain was below normal and it was a cause for concern for the Mumbaikars.
Although there is an improvement in the water stock in the catchment area, the BMC said the 10% water cut will remain, as of now.
Continuous rainfall is still required for the 100% stock in the lakes.
