Vihar Lake, one of the seven lakes supplying water to Mumbai, started overflowing at around 3.50 am today. Vihar lake is the third lake to overflow after Tulsi on July 20 and Tansa on July 24.
The full storage capacity of the Vihar lake is 2,769.8 crore litres (27,698 million litres).
