Bangladeshi Hindus stage biggest street protest yet, condemning violence against minorities, seeking safety and protection and calling for justice.
A large number of protesters demonstrated in major cities saying that Hindus have a right to live in Bangladesh.
“Others chanted slogans “Why are my temples and homes being looted? We want answers”.
The head of Bangladesh’s interim govt, Prof Muhammad Yunus, condemned the attacks on minority communities, calling them “heinous”, “Are they not people of this country? “You must say no one can harm them. They are my brothers; we fought together and we will stay together, Prof Yunus said.
