Sunaina Roshan recently opened up about her family’s incredible resilience during challenging times, including Hrithik Roshan’s divorce from Sussanne Khan and their father Rakesh Roshan’s battle with cancer. Despite Hrithik being one of Bollywood’s biggest stars since his 2000 debut in *Kaho Na Pyaar Hai*, the Roshan family has faced its share of personal struggles. Hrithik’s separation from Sussanne was a mutual decision, yet it marked a difficult phase for both their families. Over time, they managed to navigate through this tough period, growing stronger together.
In a recent interview with *Her Health Talks*, Sunaina emphasized the strong bond she shares with her brother Hrithik and their family’s unwavering support for one another. She noted how their close-knit ties and inner strength have been pivotal in overcoming adversities. “We are fighters,” Sunaina expressed. “We give each other strength in our own ways. I’ve seen strength from my mom, my dad, and my brother. And for me, the fact that I could survive all this makes me believe that life is still beautiful, and I want to live it.”
Zayed Khan, Sussanne’s brother, also shared his perspective on Hrithik and Sussanne’s divorce in an interview with *Zoom*. He spoke fondly of Hrithik, whom he affectionately calls “Duggu,” and how Hrithik’s objective advice has always been invaluable to him. Zayed clarified that their relationship remained strong despite the divorce. “We did everything that a brother-in-law should at that time. While it was and when it wasn’t… we were always the same because, at the end of the day, his children are my children. They have grown up in my hands. We are too mature for all of this. There are more important things. It was their choice, and what had to happen, happened.”
When asked about the new relationships in their lives—Sussanne dating Arslan Goni and Hrithik finding love again with Saba Azad—Zayed expressed how the family has embraced these changes. “We are like the new modern family. It is crazy; there is extreme acceptance from everyone. It has taken a while to get there, but now that it is together, it is beautiful. We all party together, we get together under one roof, and have a ball.”
