The Supreme Court today passed an interim order that no demolition should take place in the country without its permission, till October 1, when it will next hear the matter. It was hearing a plea against bulldozer action by authorities.
The apex court, however, clarified that the order is not applicable to encroachments on public road, footpaths, railway lines and waterbodies.
