“Opposition acting against sentiments of pubic by questioning the encounter”
After the main accused in the ‘sexual assault’ case of two nursery students in a Badlapur school, Akshay Shinde, died in police encounter, on Monday, the public in general and the Badlapur residents in particular, publicly expressed happiness over the killing. The Badlapur locals even distributed sweets.
According to the police, when the accused, Akshay Shinde, snatched a police revolver and fired at police, “Sanjay Shinde, senior inspector of the Central crime branch, returned fire in self defence, resulting in the accused’s death.
Even CM Eknath Shinde said the encounter was in self defence.
The family of the accused refused to accept his body, demanding an inquiry in the case.
The opposition is acting against the sentiments of the public by calling encounter ‘fake’ and demanding a probe.
