Congress, NCP neither accepted nor rejected it.
Although, there’s no official announcement from Congress and NCP on the AIMIM’s offer to form an alliance for Maharashtra elections, against BJP, but the proposal got a jolt today as the Udhdhav Thackery led Shiv Sena rejected the proposal saying ” Maha Vikas Aghadi already includes many parties, such as Congress, the NCP, Shiv Sena, Samajwadi Party, Communist Party, Shetkari Kamgar Paksha, and the Republican Organization. Therefore there is no place for a new party.
The AIMIM has demanded 28 out of 288 Maharashtra assembly seats.
