A BMC release said that there is some problem in 900-mm valve of the Vaitarna pipeline at Tarali in Thane district resulting in partial shutdown of the water supply system which is expected to be fixed in about 48 hours, said the BMC.
Consequently, there has been a 5 per cent to 10 per cent reduction in the supply to the Greater Mumbai, from Thursday to Friday.
Citizens are requested to stock and use water judiciously.
