Priyanka Gandhi in her first electoral contest, recorded a voter turnout of 64.72 percent in the by-election held on Wednesday.

When Rahul Gandhi fought from Wayanad for the first time in 2019 the voter turnout was 72.92%.

In the general election held earlier this year Rahul Gandhi got 80.33% votes. Congress has been campaigning for 5 lakh votes.

Although Priyanka Gandhi’s victory is sure, yet Congress must definitely be a bit disappointed with this lowest turn out of voters in Wayanad where a total of 16 candidates contested the election.

Even Rahul Gandhi campaigned for sister Priyanka.
