The BJP lead Mahayuti won 231 out of 288 seats in Maharashtra assembly election, totally annihilating the Maha Vikas Aghadi.
Of the 95 seats Sena (UBT) contested, it won only 20 seats.
Soon after the disappointing results, instead of finding out the exact reason Uddhav Thakrey blamed the electoral process behind the defeat of MVA, saying “election results are unexpected, confusing and doubtful.”
“I cannot believe Maharashtra will behave this way with me. There is certainly something fishy,” he said.
Udhdhav Thackeray also said, “how the situation could change so drastically in four months after the Lok Sabha polls in which Maha Vikas Aghadi defeated the NDA, winning 30 of the state’s 48 seats.”
