3rd accused arrested in Saif Ali Khan case, first 2 released for mistaken identity.

A man was arrested from Thane early this morning for attacking Saif Ali Khan. The accused, identified as 30-year-old Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad.

Accused According to the police, Shehzad does not have any Indian documents, he is a Bangladeshi and had been living in Mumbai for the past four months and changed his name to Vijay Das.

Two days after the attack, a suspect was arrested by the Bandra police but after thorough investigation he was released.

Earlier Saturday, a suspect – identified as 31-year-old Aakash Kailash Kannojia from Mumbai – was also detained at Chhattisgarh’s Durg railway station due to mistaken identity.

Investigation has revealed that he went to Saif’s house with the intention of theft.
