Harshwardhan Sapkal has been appointed as the new Maharashtra chief of the Congress party, replacing Nana Patole, who held the post of the state Congress chief since 2021.
The Congress president, Mallikarjun Kharge, has also appointed Vijay Namdevrao Wadettiwar as the leader of the Congress Legislative Party in Maharashtra.
