47-year-old Thomas Gabriel Pereira, was shot dead by security forces in Jordan while he was trying to illegally cross the border to Israel.
“The four-member group was assured of Israeli work visas by a fraud agency but were given Jordanian tourist visas. The four tried to sneak into Israel on Feb 10 and Jordanian soldiers shot them.”
Pereira’s partner Edison sustained bullet injuries he was deported to India and reached the Kerala earlier this week.
The wife of Pereira said that in his last call to her they talked for only two minutes and he asked her to pray for him.
The Embassy is in touch with the family of the deceased and is working closely with Jordans authorities for transportation of mortal remains of the deceased.”
The other two people are still in jail in Jordan, according to reports.
