Shakir Shaikh, a resident of Cheeta Camp, cries foul at the protection provided by Trombay Police Station to Rafiq Sultan, Haroon and Rashid, even 20 days after the incident, while pressurizing his son Zahid Shaikh and Wahid Shaikh to procure bail in 4 days, in the same case.
Shakir accused Rafiq of concocting a story that Zahid and Wahid stabbed him, to implicate his sons in false cases. He also alleged that Rafiq, using political pressure, got admitted to the ICU of Rajawadi Hospital, without any injury, after stabbing his sons.
Shakir said he had written a letter to Rajawadi Hospital to investigate the alleged manipulation and bogus admission of an accused to the ICU of the hospital.
According to Shakir, the accused Rafiq is still roaming freely in the area without acquiring bail – boasting of having ample political power to evade any police action.
